Local shows and auditions in February

Remember that bright spell we had earlier on in the month? Hard to remember from the dim, wet, blusteriness of the past week, isn't it?

As February approaches, alongside the prospect of more storms, here's your guide to theatre & performance in Hastings over the next few weeks, including auditions for an upcoming play at the Stables in spring!

Remember to contact us before the last Friday of the month if you have something you'd like us to feature the following month.

Are you a fan of the White Rock panto? Don't have any plans for the day after Valentine's Day? Then Tim McArthur Isn't Soreeeee! is the event for you (just make sure you get the number of Es right - good advice for life, really).

True to the form of classic seaside entertainment, this show promises a bit of everything for everyone, with a roster of local talent joining Tim plus "music, comedy, and showbiz stories".

At the end of the month, Lovely, Dark & Deep Productions presents Miranda Lapworth's Storms, Maybe Snow. Featuring the Stables Theatre's own Neil Sellman, you can see the show here after a London run last year and before it returns to the capital at the Cockpit Theatre in March. AUDITION NOTICE: Male actor, playing age 30's, wanted for "Carabiners", a 2-hander running at The Stables Theatre Hastings 14-18 April.

Carabiners is a contemporary Stoppardian drama written by friend of HTP Glyn Carter, which won the Stables' New Writing Contest last year.

We're going to be out and about over the coming weeks filming scenes for DFL: The Film, so do say hello if you see us out and about! Who knows, maybe you'll find yourself in the back of a shot and then you'll be accepting an award for 'Best Supporting Artist' at the 2027 Academy Awards?
