About
Hasting Theatre Project’s UK premiere of DFL.
A girl-meets-boy romcom interrogating contemporary themes, think One
Day-on-Sea, Notting Hill on the West Hill.
Over the course of the next twelve months, Hastings will host a theatrical event like none seen before.
Throughout the year, brand-new theatre company Hastings Theatre Project will present six short scenes set during key moments in the town’s calendar in locations across the borough.
This play is supported by public funding from the National Lottery through Arts Council England. The show will be presented on a ‘Pay What You Decide’ basis, meaning you can choose from different price points which suit you to watch an exciting piece of new theatre. All ticket income goes back into helping us create and develop the show throughout the next year and support local artists and creatives.

Theatre by, for and with the people of Hastings
Hastings Theatre Project is a brand-new theatre organisation based in Hastings. HTP was formed on the back of a long research project about theatre and new work locally, and exists to champion, progress and make theatre by, for, and with the people of our town. As well as making DFL, HTP also sends out regular curated emails of local theatrical events, hosts a network of local theatre professionals, and provides funding and producing advice for local artists. DFL is HTP’s first show, but plans are already afoot to support Hastings artists through work-in-progress events, and grow the organisation into the future. HTP is led by Dan Hutton & Poppy Rowley.
